Currently a PhD candidate exploring the health-related effects of matakite experiences among Maori. Interested in practical research on spirituality and health, empathy education, and conflict resolution. My academic studies have focused on Community Psychology, Critical Health Psychology, Sociology of Health, Womens and Gender Studies, Policy Analysis, and Evaluation Research. Personal interests: Maori spiritual traditions and practices, meditation and karakia, learning Te Reo Maori, mau rakau, whakairo, teaching conflict resolution workshops in the community.
