This project tracks the history of Pari, the performance bodices that have a history of some 100 years. They are often part of the public profile of Kapa Haka and are emblematic of Kapa affiliations as well as schools, churches, iwi, hapū and whānau. However, they rarely attract focus in academic literature. While some publication has been made, ample opportunity for research, publication and display continues.

Connecting Researchers, Government & Communities
Te Hononga Pūkenga - ‘the connection of experts’, was created by Ngā Pae o te Māramatanga to make Māori and Indigenous research expertise, location and contact information readily available, in response to the need for stronger engagement between Māori Researchers and Government, the wider public/private sector and to facilitate our communities to access us as Māori & Indigenous researchers.
